Subject:? Malaysia – Transshipment Port Klang to Southeast Asia and Xingang China – Update
Thank you for shipping with our company.? We would like to inform you the latest development of transshipment via Port Klang.
Transshipment is still severe and idling of some boxes may take more than 3 weeks. ?The adverse weather conditions recently at Port Klang seriously hampered terminal operations and some vessels berthing and unberthing were delayed due to torrential rain and strong wind speeds of over 35 knots.
Delayed Connection ex Port Klang, Malaysia to Southeast Asia Out Ports
Port Klang – Space to Thailand and Indonesia still remains very tight and critical.
Penang, Malaysia – Situation is manageable but connection time takes 1 to 2 weeks.
Bangkok, Thailand – Space is manageable but connection time takes 2 to 3 weeks. However, most of the Feeder Operators still not accept big lot booking and only consider in small volume below 15 TEUs.
Laem Chabang, Thailand – Situation is manageable but connection time takes 2 to 3 weeks.
Surabaya, Indonesia – Space is becoming tight now and connection time takes 3 to 4 weeks. Most of the Feeder Operators unable to provide space till middle of January 2022 and only accept booking below 10 TEUs.
Jakarta, Indonesia – Space is still tight and critical; feeder operators unable to allocate space till middle of January 2022 and no firm connection.? Therefore, feeder operator unable to accept booking as for now.
Belawan, Indonesia – Situation is manageable but connection time takes 1 to 2 weeks.
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – Space is becoming tight and most of Feeder Operators unable to commit any space till end of December. Connection time takes 2- 4 weeks.
Haiphong, Vietnam – Space is becoming tight and connection time takes 3 to 4 weeks.

Xingang, China – Space and connection is manageable but connection time takes 3 to 4 weeks.
